Our school is so lucky! Calligraphy master Jo Jo Liu exquisitely taught three Integrated Arts classes (Chinese and Art) all in one day: Ages 7 – 12, K-2, and 3-6. Even though those grades represent wide age ranges, her teaching style, stroke techniques, aesthetic talent, and joyful personality inspired every single student.

Community Workshop North Haven island, Maine, November 18, 2025

Jo Jo Liu energized our community with her exquisite, inspiring evening workshop on the ancient art of Chinese calligraphy. Nearly 10% of our entire village booked every available seat!

Attended by ages 5 to over 80 altogether, you could hear a pin drop against the background of Master Jo Jo’s soft, clear, reassuring training voice. The stage’s quiet and individuals’ attention revealed how focused and enthralled everyone was. The town was abuzz with talk of her precious visit. We will always treasure her time here.
